The fortress is situated near the village of Mandarini, in the parish of San Lorenzo Bibbiana or Rubbiano, between the Valley of and the Valley of Pierle Minima (S.Leo). The fortress of property Pazzaglia, gentlemen of the place, with some outbuildings has been for a long time and until the middle of the past century, the home of family farmhouse which was derived the nickname "roccaioli." Has recently been passed in property lords Germans that turned into a private house. The news about the fortress, can seem to give a historical connotation to the Church of San Lorenzo and San Florido in Leoncini, in some parts a glimpse signs of ancient buildings that could be redirected to the time of the castles of the valley and, therefore, about year one thousand. As for the name "Mandarini" Baptized in the Register of the Parish of Our Lady of the Cross and St. Donnino read: "A 'March 13, 1643, son of Stephen Lorenzo Mandarino of the parish of St. Lawrence in Città di Castello." It is evident that this is a surname.
